Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Interfaith Service

Everyone from the Greater New Haven faith community is invited for our Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Interfaith Service in person and online Faith leaders from the Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Bahai, and Unitarian traditions will join Rabbi Schaefer, Rabbi Brockman, and Cantor Giglio to lead our engergizing and inspiring service honoring Dr. King’s legacy .

Guest Speaker:

Dr. William James Jennings is the Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Systematic Theology and Africana Studies at Yale Divinity School. He is an ordained Baptist minister and received his M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. in religion and ethics from Duke. Dr. Jennings is a theologian who teaches in the areas of Christian thought, race theory, decolonial and environmental studies. He is currently at work on a two volume project on the doctrine of creation and finishing a book of poetry entitled, The Time of Possession.

Featuring Music From:

The Yale Black Seminarians Gospel Choir is a student-led group that shares the rich musical traditions of the Black Church through song. Under the leadership of Reginald Earl Payne, II, the choir seeks to inspire and build community by offering music rooted in faith, hope, and justice.
