Monday, January 20 at 1:00 pm Hubbard Park Celebrating MLK Jr. Day, we will listen to his famous Mountaintop Speech as we hike to the East Peak of Hubbard Park, where the view of the greater Meriden area (including Hamden and New Haven) is spectacular. If that's not reason enough to join in, come so you can say, as did MLK Jr., "Well, I don't know what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead. But it really doesn't matter with me now, because I've been to the mountaintop."
This hike is a bit more challenging than the previous several, with a few short, steep sections and a significant overall elevation gain. Allow approximately 2 hours.
